Mr. Ramesh Iyer

Mr. Ramesh Iyer is the Managing Director of Mahindra & Mahindra Financial Services, with over Rs. 36,500 crores (5.9 billion US$) in assets under management and 1,108 branches spread across the country. Over the past two decades, the company has worked extensively in rural India extending credit for farm equipment, commercial vehicles, and other automobiles. The company has cumulatively extended credit to 4 million customers and has subsidiaries for rural housing, insurance, asset management, and international operations.

In addition to managing MMFSL, Mr. Iyer is President of Financial Sector and a member of the Executive Board of Mahindra Group. He is also a director of nine companies in the Mahindra Group including two international companies. Mr. Iyer also serves as a member in various committees in the industry including the Confederation of Indian Industry, Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry, Bombay Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Finance Industry Development Council, and the Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers.

Mr. Iyer was conferred numerous prestigious awards, including Business World's India's most valuable CEOs in 2010. More recently. Mr. Iyer received the CEO for Financial Services Award by CEO India Magazine. In 2015, Mr. Iyer received an additional two awards in the following categories: "CEO of the Year" and "Most Admired Rural Entrepreneur of the Year Award" at The Rural Marketing Forum and Awards conducted by CMO Asia.
